What makes the Polish bachata community have such a high bachata level?

The Polish community, and particularly the one from Warsaw,
is one the highest in terms of bachata level in Europe,
comparable to other top cities in the continent such as Barcelona, Sevilla…

Three reasons why Polish people have such a bachata high level:

Multisport card

This is a card system only available in Poland that allows you to go to the gym, water park and even bachata dancing classes.

You can attend classes for free,
and when you need to pay, it is as affordable as less than 2 EUR per hour of class.

Pandemic

It may feel strange to read the Pandemic as one of the reasons – believe me, it is true!
The case is that in Poland,
bachata classes did not stop during the pandemic (neither did the socials).

While the rest of the world was in strict lockdown,
the bachata polish community was able to attend the classes and even some social parties.

Level of instructors

No matter if you speak Polish or not,
all the instructors speak a fairly good English (and Spanish in many cases),
you will be able to attend classes on a weekly basis with talented couples such as:

Dos Mundos

Do you want to start the weekend in a good bachata mood?
Then, the Friday Dos Mundos party is for you.

Every Friday a party is organized in Dos Mundos, in the centre of Warsaw.
This is the paradise venue for all the bachateros and bachateros, and not only, as there is as well Salsa and Kizomba rooms.

How much does the party cost in Dos Mundos?
Before 23.00 and if you have a multisport card,
the price is 10 PLN (2. 23 EUR) for the entrance.

In case you don’t have the multisport card (or you enter after 23.00),
The price is 30PLN (6.6 EUR).

Important: Remember to bring your ID with your multisport card.

Payment is only possible in cash
(gotowka as they would say in Polish)

No worries if you don’t have cash with you,
there is an ATM inside the building.

When does the party start in Dos Mundos?

The doors open at 22:30 and the party closes at 03:00 am.  

From 23:00 to 23:30 normally there is a workshop for beginners/intermediate level.
The workshop can be anything from bachata to Salsa and even kizomba.

After the workshop, there may be some shows from local and international artists.
Normally they start at 12:00, and last for 30 minutes.

Is there any place to leave the clothes?

Yes.
Bear in mind that the Dos Mundos party is organized in a dance school.
There are changing rooms for both women and men,
and there is even a cloakroom, for 2PLN you can secure your things while you enjoy the night out.

One interesting element,
even though Dos Mundos is organized in a dance school, there is a bar inside.
You can’t bring your own drinks,
however, you can get the drinks at the bar (alcohol included) at a very affordable price.

How to reach out Dos Mundos?

Reaching Dos Mundos is rather easy,
as it is located in the city centre and you can reach out easily by bus, tram or even on foot.

Don’t get confused,
Dos Mundos is not the same as Level 27.
To reach out to Dos Mundos, enter the Atlas Tower through the main entrance,
stay on the ground flow and walk towards Biedronka (Polish famous supermarket).

Bachamore

Organized by the Salsa Clasica dance school,
every Thursday in the iconic Palace of Culture there is Bachamore.

A 100% Bachata Social party.

Undoubtedly,
the bachata social with the highest level in the Warsaw bachata scene.

How much does the party cost in Bachamore?

Between 22:00 and 22:20, the price is 15PLN.
After 22:20, the price is 20 PLN

In Bachamore,
unfortunately, Multisport card is not accepted.
Good news you can bring your own drinks.

Be prepared as payment is only possible in cash.

No worries if you don’t have cash with you,
there is an ATM inside the building.

When does the party start in Bachamore?

The party starts at 22:00 and closes normally around 1:30
This is a 100% bachata party, no shows, no classes… only dancing!

How to reach out to Bachamore?

Bachamore takes place in the very centre of the city,
on the 4th floor of the Millenium Plaza (also known as Atlas Tower).

The address is al. Jerozolimskie 123A, 02-017 Warszawa (4th floor).

It is very easy to find,
as most likely you will hear the music once you enter the building,
simply take the elevator and go to the fourth floor.

Sensual Palace

From the creators of Thursday Bachamore parties,
on Saturdays (unfortunately not every Saturday),
a Sensual Palace party is taking place right in the center of the city.

A 100% bachata event, with DJ Gregory on the mix.

And the best of it?
You can bring your own drinks, including alcohol! 😊

How much does the party cost in Sensual Palace?

Between 22:00 and 22:30, the price is 20PLN.
After 22:30, the price is 30 PLN

Unfortunately, Multisport card is not accepted.

When does the party start in Sensual Palace?

The party starts on Saturdays (not every Saturday),
at 22:00 and closing normally at 03:00.

This is a 100% bachata party, no shows, no classes… only dancing and drinks – remember you can bring your own drinks!

How to reach out to Sensual Palace?

Sensual palace party is taking place inside the Palace of Culture and Science.
(Iconic building in the center of the city, it is not difficult to miss)

Make sure you enter the Palace of culture by the side of the Emilii Plater street
( in front of the Intercontinental Hotel)

On the left side of the Congress Hall there are two niches with a gate.

Go the one next to the gray porter’s booth.
Enter the recess and open the on the left side.

Go up two floors through the stairs and there you you will find Bachamore.

From the creators of Thursday Bachamore parties and Saturday Sensual Palace.
It is time to say bye to the week in style,
Bachata Heros, on Sundays.

From September until May (both included),
a 100% bachata event, with DJ Gregory on the mix.

La Playa

La playa or as you would call it in English, The beach.

This is a seasonal place running from the last week of May, until the middle of September
(if weather allows)

No plan on Sunday?
This is your must-go place for bachata during the summer in Warsaw.

When does the party start in La Playa?

The party starts every Sunday normally in the afternoon around (18:00), closing around 02:00 am

There is a tent that is 100% dedicated to bachata
(if you want to dance salsa, there is another area too)

How much does the party cost in La Playa?

If you want to dance Salsa, it is for free.
If you want to dance Bachata, you will need to pay 20PLN (you can pay with credit card

Remember, here your own drinks are not allowed.

How to reach out to La Playa?

La Playa is located on the Praga side of the Wisla river.
You can easily reach out there by public transportation or Taxi.(from the city center, it would cost around 25-30 PLN to reach out there)

Abra Studio

This is one of the most famous bachata dancing schools in the country.
Here you can attend the weekly classes with talented couples such as:
Duda & Adriana, Nikita & Klaudia…

Parties in Abra Studio

Every Monday, you can attend the Bachata Social practice.
Normally it starts at 22:15 and it costs 10PLN (Good news, if you have been to any class during Monday, the practice will be for free).

When does it finish?
It is usually over with the last standing couple,
not extending beyond 1 a.m. It is Monday, take it easy!.

On Saturdays, there are as well parties organized in the school.
Unfortunately, it is not every Saturday. 😞

Epic parties,
such as Abra Dream Flow or Feel the Salsa are being organized at least once per month.

The level of dancers in these parties,
normally is very high, so get ready to showcase your best moves on the dancefloor!

The price for the entrance is 30PLN and payment is only possible in cash.
You can withdraw the money from the ATM that it is inside the Rondo ONZ Metro station.

How to reach out to Abra Studio?

The dance school is located right in the centre of Warsaw – in the street:
al. Jana Pawła II 11, 00-823 Warsaw, Poland

You can easily reach out there on foot or by Metro to the station Rondo ONZ.
If you are rather active,
you can consider renting a Venturilo bike – as there is a station right next to the school.

Salsa Libre

Salsa Libre is a school as well in the centre of Warsaw (10 min on foot from Abra).
This school is focused mainly on Salsa, with a fair deal of bachata classes too.

Parties in Salsa Libre

Every Wednesday, you can attend the Bachata Social practice.
Normally it starts at 22:15 and it costs 10PLN (in cash or card)
When does it finish? It usually finishes around 1 a.m.

There is a changing room where you can leave your clothes,
and you can bring your own drinks.

If you have been in the classes at 20:00 or 21:00,
you can join the Wednesday party for free.
No need to pay separately for the social.

Every Saturday,
there are the Bomba Latina parties organized in Salsa Libre.

No matter if you dance only Bachata or Salsa (or even both),
this party is for you!

There are two rooms, one for bachata and one for Salsa.
You can find here, plenty of instructors, live music and many talented dancers.

(alcohol included, as it normally gets hot there 🥵️)

The dance school is located very close to Rondo ONZ Metro station, in the street:
 Żelazna 59, 00-848 Warsaw, Poland

You can easily reach out there on foot or by Metro to the station Rondo ONZ.
The school is 10 min on foot from Abra.

If you are rather an active bachatero/bachatera,
you can consider going by Venturilo bike – as there is a station right next to the school.

Social dances by the Wisla River – Summer Season

When the weather allows (normally between May and September) ☀️,
there are daily socials organized by the Wisla River.

The plan is simple:
Someone is bringing the speaker
(a big one, someone on the other side of the river could hear Romeo Santos),
you bring your drinks,
and you enjoy the day dancing outside.

As mentioned – very simple.
